Danny Wood has come a long way in the fight against breast cancer; after the death of his mother Betty in 1999, he partnered with charities to help raise funds, and then – step by step – “Remember Betty” was born.
In 2014, Danny announced he was going to take “Remember Betty” to another level; and in 2015, Remember Betty finally became a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization with the mission of helping minimize the financial burden associated with breast cancer, for patients and survivors, so that they can focus on recovery and quality of life.
Now, Danny Wood has joined the Ford Company through its organization “Ford Warriors in Pink,” which is helping in the fight against breast cancer in two ways:
- working with Susan G. Komen and The Pink Fund to provide grants that help patients with transportation needs or assist with car payments [+ at WarriorsInPink/charity]
- dedicating 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of their clothing and accessories to organizations that help warriors move. [+ at WarriorsInPink/shop]
