If there’s a TV series or movie set in the 80s (a good one π), it’s going to have an NKOTB memorabilia or reference; from horror movies like “It Chapter Two” to a comedy sitcom, featuring or referencing the New Kids On The Block is like a trade mark of the era. And so it happened recently in the new season of CBS “Young Sheldon.”

Young Sheldon, starring Iain Armitage, is a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory which follows the 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper as he navigates living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. The series premiered in 2017.
This 5th season premiered on October 7, but it wasn’t until today that Iain tweeted Donnie Wahlberg about his character’s sister Missy’s poster of the New Kids On The Block in her bedroom.
Iain tweeted,
“@DonnieWahlberg is that you on Missyβs new bedroom wall?”

To which Donnie replied,
Yes, but riddle me this? Is it a poster of #YoungDonnie from

@nkotb β or is it a poster of #YoungDannyReagan from @BlueBloods_CBS? Either way β it appears you found me #YoungSheldon
However, “Young Sheldon” wasn’t the first one to spot Donnie; actually, actress and known Blockhead Andrea Barber saw it on the season premiere back in 2017 and tweeted it about it.
Young Sheldon airs on CBS and it’s also available on Paramount Plus.
