Farmhouse Fixer Moves a House Down the Road in the Most Emotional Episode of the Series

On the Farmhouse Fixer episode which aired on Wednesday, we got to witness Jonathan Knight moving his 110-year-old family farmhouse down the road and, with it, probably the dispute with “The Trustees” to its end.

On an interview Jonathan gave in June, he said, “Originally, all I asked was to move the house off the main road to a place that’s a little more quiet,” but six years later he was being sued for more than that.

Lena Taylor, for Architectural Digest, recently explained the dispute regarding this particular farmhouse in very simple words: according to The Trustees rules, properties in their area can only have one residential building, but Jon wanted to build another one for him and his husband; so, “he moved it”… and that’s what we watched on Farmhouse Fixer’s latest episode.

But even though this might end the dispute, the episode, this experience, was about family. The house belonged originally to Marlene (Jon’s mom), and now they wanted to renovate it so that the Knight family could use enjoy it as a rural escape.

Jonathan Knight was brought up in a big family with strong ties: his mom and dad, Marlene Putnam and Allan Knight; his siblings Allison, Sharon, David, Chris and Jordan (with whom he shares the stage with the New Kids On The Block); they all support Jon’s new career and they are his biggest fans.

The family also works on Jon’s farmhouse by his side; Marlene takes care of the horses and the bees; Jordan takes care of the goats; Harley of all the animals and Allison and Sharon help out with the plants and crops.

So, for this $350,000 project, Jon heard all their voices. On the interview for Architectural Digest he mentions, “Initially, I wanted the kitchen in a different space, and Sharon said, “No.” She was coming from the perspective of being a mother. I don’t know what it’s like getting kids fed and off to school and she educated me, so don’t ever discount what others have to say. Listen.”

Farmhouse Fixer’s episode ended with a family scene that will be in our hearts forever.

Kristina Crestin, shared on Instagram details of the renovation and design.

If Farmhouse Fixer won our hearts from day one, what can we say about this episode?

Jon and Kristina are currently shooting the 4th season of “Rock The Block”, and even though the competition looks challenging it’s safe to say that if viewers were ask to vote, the show has already a winning team.
