Joey McIntyre and Debbie Gibson, were at the I Heart Festival 2021 held in Las Vegas, presenting one of the performers on the second night of the event.
In its eleventh year, the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival was a two-day music festival hosted at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 17th and 18th, which featured today’s biggest names.
On the second night, the line up included performances by Billie Eilish, Cold Play, Journey, Khalid, Lil Baby and Sam Hunt. Joey McIntyre and Debbie Gibson, who are currently doing a residency in Las Vegas, were invited to announce the legendary rock band “Journey.”
Journey, comprised of Neal Schon (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Arnel Pineda (lead vocals), Randy Jackson (bass), Narada Michael Walden (drums) and Jason Derlatka (keyboards), was founded in 1972 and it is one of the most famous and beloved American rock bands of all time.
The band has earned 19 top 40 singles, 25 Gold and Platinum albums, and has sold nearly 100 million albums globally. Their Greatest Hits album is certified 15 times-Platinum, making Journey one of the few bands to ever have been Diamond-certified and their song “Don’t Stop Believin’” has been streamed over one billion times alone. Journey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
Debbie Gibson, right before entering the stage, said on her Instagram Stories, “Guys, right from the stage of the Venetian, with my partner Joey McIntyre; we’re gonna announce an iconic, legendary band with Ryan Seacrest (…) I’m so excited!”
Debbie and Joey were caught in a photo booth by More Fox 5, and later in the day Gibson posted a video of the moment.
