One day after having arrived to New York City, Joey McIntyre joined the cast of “The Wanderer” for the first day of rehearsals at the Paper Mill Playhouse (NJ)
The Wanderer is the story of Dion DiMucci, an Italian-American kid from the Bronx who skyrocketed to fame as a teenage heartthrob in the 1950s and early ’60s with hits like “Runaround Sue,” “Teenager in Love” and “I Wonder Why.” Known as New York’s rebel king, Bruce Springsteen has called Dion “the link between Frank Sinatra and rock and roll.”
The Wanderer – starring Michael Wartella, Christy Altomare and Joey McIntyre – will be making its world premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse, March 24-April 24, 2022
