Farmhouse Fixer Jonathan Knight Sued by New England’s Land Trust

Jonathan Knight, host of HGTV’s Farmhouse Fixer, proud member and advocate of New England’s community, is being sued by New England’s organization “The Trustees”‘s President and CEO John Judge.

Early this morning, Jon wrote to John Judge and The Trustees on twitter, about the lack of transparency with two properties under the same restriction, while one (Jon’s) is being sued for what the other one gets.

New England’s organization “The Trustees”, is United States’ oldest land trust. For over a hundred years, according to its official website, it has been “working to protect special places, providing loving care of our reservations, building creative new programs to engage people.”

New England is a northeastern region of the United States comprising the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Jonathan Knight, not only shows his loves for New England’s richness on his HGTV show, “Farmhouse Fixer,” but also through his personal account on Instagram, encouraging people to visit the area and enjoy all it has to offer.

On December 2021, The Boston Globe announced John Judge’s new position at The Trustees, as Chief Executive Officer, which he assumed this past February becoming the fifth President and CEO of the organization. Regarding Judge’s job at The Trustees, the organization stated on its website,

As President and CEO,  Judge will oversee all aspects of management for the conservation and preservation organization, which protects and cares for over 120 properties for the public in perpetuity.  Judge will lead the organization by setting strategy, advancing programmatic goals, fostering environmental innovation, and supporting a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity. Judge will also work closely with the Board Chair and Directors to develop and nurture The Trustees’ outstanding staff and ensure effective governance and leadership.

An hour later after his tweet, after haven’t received an answer, Jonathan Knight congratulated John Judge on his new position, and insisted on the lack of response from The Trustees.
