“I’ll never forget watching the American Music Awards (from some hotel room on the road) in early 1989 and seeing @DebbieGibson climb up on her piano and belt out her Number 1 song Lost in Your Eyes. And now so many years later I am so grateful and stoked that she accepted my request to join her on that song, on her piano, on the #MixTapeTour. I’m thankful for such a moment. It keeps me on my toes (I’m singing in her key ????). Deb, you and I are fellow travelers, seekers, wanderers at times, and true lovers of the game. As we discussed early on – there’s something about an original hit in the original key so thank you for rolling with it ! You rise to the occasion and are keeping me grounded and connected during some currently challenging times. This tour is SO incredible for this very reason.
