It looks like the New Kids On The Block have been quietly warming up during the US winter, so that we can all get ready for the hottest summer in years.
The New Kids On The Block has signed with BMG, a record label home of two other boybands we know very well (Boyz II Men and BSB) among other legendary artists. The news broke at a Billboard exclusive, where the band also announced they are going to release a new studio album.
NKOTB’s upcoming album, which is yet to be titled, is going to be their eight studio album and the first LP in almost 11 years. “10”, their seventh studio album, was released on April 2, 2013 and it peaked the sixth position on the Billboard 200.
Even though there isn’t an estimated date for the release of the new album yet, there is a new single ready to be pre-saved. “Kids”, available on your music service, is going to be released on March 5th, 2024.
At the Billboard exclusive, the band mentioned that they were going to support the album with a “big” tour. If the Magic Summer Tour 2024, is that big tour, we could expect the new album very soon.
And it could be, because the “Magic Summer” experience is growing bigger. A day after the announcement of the record deal with BMG and the upcoming album, and only two hours after having announced the release of the single “Kids”, the New Kids On The Block surprised all time Blockheads with a new – and free – hotline.
Did You Know? In 2015, Pink revealed to Jimmy Fallon, on the Tonight Show, that she was grounded for having spent $118 in a phone bill for her constant calls to the New Kids On The Block’s hotline.
Call ☎️ +1 (806) 639 5437, save it to your contacts, and stay tuned for special messages, exclusive content… and a few surprises.
In a join statement, the New Kids On The Block said,
“We promise 2024 is going to be a big year for NKOTB and our blockheads. New label, big tour, we are just getting started! Much more to come. Very soon. And we couldn’t have asked for a better partner than BMG to usher in this new era.”
