How to Purchase Tickets: Get Your TicketMaster Account Ready
If this is your first time purchasing a ticket, you’ll need an account at Ticketmaster; there is a lot of data to fill in (name, address, credit card, etc), so you may want to get that ready now.
You can get or update your Ticketmaster account at ticketmaster.com.
Why is this important?
When you select a seat and you click on “purchase”, you’ll be prompted to log in or sign in (if you haven’t done it already)
Login in and, further more “signing in”, takes time and the system will hold your ticket for a limited time (usually five minutes)
So, before the sale begins, sign in into your Ticketmaster account and leave it open in your browser ?
Another considerations: Talk to your bank
If you’re going to spend an unusual amount of money, talk to your bank before the day of the sale and inform them about your upcoming purchase. Sometimes, for security reasons, banks block your purchase; so, once again, take care of that as soon as you can.
Issues With VISA
Countless times I’ve had issues with VISA; meaning: they blocked my purchase. You can take care of this by talking to your bank as mentioned above, or by using another credit card.
