On October 7th, 2022, Joey McIntyre announced how he was going to celebrate his 50th birthday: with an epic performance at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City. Tickets went on sale on October 11 and 14, and they were sold out immediately.
Over the following months, Joey did a series of solo performances to get ready for this night. He performed two nights at the Bourbon Room in Los Angeles, on December 11 and 18; and on December 19, he announced a third performance for the 21st.
Then on January 11, he did a fourth show, but this time in Uncasville at the Mohegan Sun. After the show and highly emotional, he did a live stream on January 12.
For an artist who grew up in the theater and has been part of amazing plays from off-off Broadway, to off Broadway and Broadway, performing solo at Carnegie Hall is a dreamed milestone. And Joey McIntyre, was more than ready to hit that milestone.
Special Guests
Among the special guests Joey McIntyre had at Carnegie Hall, there was: Debbie Gibson, Shoshana Bean, his son Griffin McIntyre, his friend and co-writer Emanuel Kiriakou, and of course his bandmates the New Kids On The Block.

New Kids On The Block
The New Kids On The Block sang to Joey NKOTB’s “Happy Birthday.” Donnie Wahlberg shared a photo of the New Kids On The Block, during the rehearsals of “Happy Birthday”, and wrote:
“So thank thankful to have been part of this magical evening. Joey was amazing. Carnegie Hall was amazing! The Blockhead family was amazing. Classy. Elegant. Loving. Loud. The greatest fans in the history of music made this one of the the greatest nights in the history of this band, and our beloved bandmate.”
