Joey McIntyre Wins “Single Of The Year” at the Boston Music Awards For “Stay The Same”

The Boston Music Awards took place at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston; and, on the day that Steven Tyler won the award for “Male Vocalist” and his band Aerosmith for “Video of the Year” with “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” Joey McIntyre was winning “Single of the Year” with his first single from his first solo album.

When Joey recorded the album “Stay the Same”, he released it on the internet at his website, “two thousands CDs”; then he went to his local radio station in Boston and the record climbed to the top 5 requests within a week. Eventually he received calls from more record companies, and signed up with Columbia Records

The official video for “Stay The Same” brought Joey McIntyre to MTV. Eventually it was released on VEVO ten years later, on Oct 25, 2009.
