Here are some great news! Since we learned (back in March) that “The Wanderer” had been rescheduled for Spring 2021, Joey didn’t mention it anymore; now, thanks to an interview with People (while he was promoting his new single “Own This Town”), we not only discover that he still is part of the cast but also that he’s going to be in another play!
About “The Wanderer”
It’s a new play about the story of Dion DiMucci, an Italian-American kid from the Bronx, who was a teenage heartthrob in the 1950s and early ’60s (with hits like “Runaround Sue,” “Teenager in Love” and “I Wonder Why”) and who struggled with addiction.
The Wanderer (with Joey McIntyre, Michael Wartella and Christy Altomare) is scheduled for Apr 8–May 9, 2021.
Check out #TheWanderer for more info.
About “Radio Galaxy”
In 2018, Joey Mcintyre did a reading of the play along with Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Dames at Sea), Hari Dhillon (Disgraced), and Nandita Shenoy (Washer/Dryer, Trouble Cometh), under the direction of Mark Waldrop. Michele Aldin Kushner’s Radio Galaxy was presented on September 27-28, at the Westside Theatre, NYC.

Even though Joey mentioned he was going to be part of the play (during the interview with People mentioned above), there are no news about it yet.
So… stay tuned for updates!
