The New Kids On The Block, after a year of having launched “BHBC,” their throwback collection of home goods and apparel, are and now going bigger after having signed a new deal with “Epic Rights” to bring us global merchandise featuring retro nostalgia from the 80’s and 90’s, according to License Global.
After having released a retro song and video, “Bring Back the Time“, they hit the road with the “Mixtape Tour 2022” (May 10 – July 23), featuring Rick Astley, Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue, taking take full arenas into a retro journey, with epic nights of great music and fun.
And they have found – more than ever – new generations of fans, “Baby Blockheads”, attending the concerts wearing clothing their parents once wore back in the 90s, with the same or bigger excitement.
The BHBC collection hasn’t stopped growing since its launching on June 23, 2021. What it started mainly with a few items of home goods, quickly grew the following month with a summer collection. On January, 2022, a third batch of items was released for the winter collection; and this past May, it began offering the Mixtape Tour 2022 memorabilia.
Now, BHBC may expand or the New Kids On The Block may create a whole other collection with “Epic Rights,” a company chosen by great artists such us Aerosmith, Barbara Streisand, Britney spears, Billy Joel, Madonna, among others legends.
Lisa Streff, Senior Vice President of Epic Rights, told License Global, “With the Mixtape 2022 tour starting in May, a cruise in October and other initiatives in the works, we have endless opportunities to create a distinctive line of merchandise that represents the band, featuring retro nostalgia from the ’80s and ’90s as well as products that speak to who they are today.”
Danny Wood, who launched his own “Jalapeño Cilantro Sauce” in partnership with Torchbearer Sauces, also made an statement for License Global: “With all of the exciting plans we have coming, we wanted to create a unique, fresh, and memorable product line, and Epic Rights is the premiere agency for artists who want to develop merchandise lines that speak to their fans. We are thrilled to begin the process with Lisa and the team to bring all of our ideas to life!”
