It was a day off for Rick Astley, but that didn’t mean time off stage. On Tuesday night, Rick Astley headed over to “The Mann” with tour mate Joey McIntyre and his son Griffin (who recently joined the Mixtape Tour) and surprised the audience by joining the band on stage.
Rick Astley is currently on a US tour with the New Kids On The Block, along with special guests Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue. Joey McIntyre’s son, Griffin McIntyre, joined the tour on June 14 as part of the opening act with Illtown Sluggaz.
The camaraderie among the stars of the Mixtape Tour goes beyond the stage. And so, during this day off before returning to the stage at the Wells Fargo Center, Rick Astley, Joey and Griffin McIntyre, went out for a boys night out at “The Mann”, one of the country’s largest non-profit open-air music centers.
Rick Astley sang his classic “Never Gonna Give You Up“, and Big Time Rush had a little bit of fun trying to do “The New Kids’ dance.”
American pop music boy band, Big Time Rush (formed in 2009) recently released their new single “Fall” on June 10, and they are currently on the road with their “Forever Tour“.
Rick Astley, on his Instagram, mentioned that the last time Rick was on the stage of “The Mann” was on his first US tour in 1989.
Among the stars that will be performing at “The Mann” over the following months, we can expect acts such as: 5 Seconds of Summer (July 6), Josh Groban (July 12), Norah Jones (July 24) and The Goo Goo Dolls (August 21). For tickets visit manncenter.org.
