Count your blessings… You’ve got many, haven’t you?
But we all know there are a lot of people in need, and that we can contribute to their blessings, specially during the holiday season.
Throughout the years, thanks to the New Kids On The Block, we learned about different organizations which are working 24/7 to help others; so! Here is a small list to start spreading love and joy.
(*) Organizations are listed in alphabetical order
Dancing For Hope: Helping St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children
Jordan Knight and wife Evelyn Melendez, have been part of the “Dancing for Hope” committee for a long time, an event destined to raise funds for the St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children. In 2013, for instance, Jordan also raffled a cabin for the NKOTB cruise (and the winner received the news with a phone call from JK)
St. Mary’s Center works in partnership with young women, many of them mothers, to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty and achieve lasting, powerful change by building their emotional well-being, educational achievements and economic independence. Located in Uphams Corner in Dorchester, Massachusetts, St. Mary’s Center supports 600 women and children annually with shelter, clinical and educational services, job training, employment placement, and search for affordable permanent housing.

- On 2012, Joey published a blog post, “My Mom May Not Know Who I am…” which was then published in the book “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living with Alzheimer’s & Other Dementias”; all royalties of this book go to the Alzheimer’s Association;
